Codes on tables: one card, three jobs
Combining menu, Wi-Fi and reviews on one table, which format to choose and what to make it from.
One code or several
Two or three codes on a small card confuse guests. Better: one code to a simple choice page with “Menu”, “Wi-Fi”, “Leave a review” — or spread the codes out: menu on the table, Wi-Fi at the counter, review in the bill folder.
Card formats
| Format | Pros | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Table tent | Readable from both sides | Cafés, food courts, co-working |
| Table number with code | Number and code in one | Full-service restaurants |
| Coaster | Takes no extra table space | Bars and lounges |
| Table sticker | Never falls or goes missing | Wipe-clean table tops |
Materials
- Matte lamination — no glare under lamps, unlike gloss.
- Engraved acrylic or wood — durable, but check contrast under your lighting.
- Card in a stand — easy to swap when the menu or offer changes.
Make a separate code per table in batch mode: a table number in the link tells staff or the ordering system where the order came from.
